Perhaps a bit of a stupid question, but I read so many guys that lost their kiteboard (Twintip), why didn't they use a surfboard leash? especially when you are learning or more in hard condition.
I am a kiteboarder and I don't wanna lose my board either, but there must be a reason that it is not used ![]()
Cheers
you gotta think about it from a financial perspective.. what is cheaper? replacing a twintip? or replacing your teeth and getting your face put back together when the legrope loads up and then the board comes flying at your face.
The ppl who lose their boards have never learnt to body drag properly...
learn to body drag.....PROPERLY
If you do a search of the forum you will literally find hundreds of post on this topic and why you just don't... if you do then also consider helmet and impact vest...
Here's one reason why not

And here's another previously uploaded by someone else.

The funny thing I found about moving from using a lease to leashless is how lost I was without it for the first 2 sessions and how I didn't miss it at all after the next session after that.
