Hi Guys

Do the fatter ends of my FCS Surf straps go to the front or the back of the board?

Here is a pic. In the pic you can see that the right end is wider/fatter.

The wide side goes to the outside of your feet (towards your little toes). The narrow side to the inside ( towards your big toes).

As you spread your feet the sides of your feet wedge into the softer, wider side of the straps.

You got yourself a surfboard Nige?

I put the fat bit at the front cause that's what seems to fit my fat foot best. Do what feels right

OMG I just admitted I ride strapped and will be forever shamed on the kite forum.

I ride strapless sometimes - honest I do.

Yep, after I broke my leg I thought it may be a bit more gentle carving around on a directional.

It's a little custom 5' 6" thruster for the bay slop and the smaller surf I do at Barwon Heads. I have upgraded the fins to FCS PC7 as advised on the forums cause the plastic ones that came with it don't carve as well as my Misfit TT !

nice to be back on the water again...

Not yet Rhys - they just arrived today. They are a similar size and shape so it will be interesting. Which way around do they face?(joke)

There's no rules.
I have a board with the old Underground X ray straps on backwards, narrow on the inside, fat outside.
It means you can pivot your feet more.
Maybe it's wrong, but I like it.
