Ahhhh! I'm loving the winter storms.
Washng machine monster surf, dodging squalls and wind up and down like whores draws,,
Stupid winds little kites and big air.
It sorts the men from the boys too. when she's squalling and gusting to the late 30's only a select few of storm searching mad men turn up. Those are the best days.
Boosting over massive white wash weaving in and out of the mayhem.
Ahhhhh ! Winter stoke!
I came to this thread expecting talk of downhill mountain biking or even landboarding...
You have let me down Plums.
Forum needs a dedicated frothers thread
Rules should be no photos or videos - just novels of pure solo stoke

When its blowing 30 bastards and bucketing down cats and dogs there's only one place to head and that's into the ocean!

There needs to be a lot more throth posted up.
Every winter without fail, someone starts a thread like this . . . . separates the men from the boys , the kooks from the pros , balls vs no balls and so on.
The best one I ever read was a post from Poor Relative wherein , he described in text, perfectly, the noise his 7 metre kite made during an entire jump sequence in cranking wind . ![]()

I'm struggling. The wind lately has been highly erratic even by New Zealand standards. My record over the last week is Thursday overpowered on a 10m, Saturday perfect 20-25 knots with a head high swell, Sunday thunderstorm killed the session before I could hit the water (fortunately), today blown off the water on a 12m. It doesn't matter what you rig up because it will be too big/small within 20 minutes.
