Hi there, I think my pump is broken but not sure if I can do anything about so I would like some advise on how to fix it.

Basically the air come in and out from the inflate part. A tiny but of air is also coming from deflate, but the majority from inflate so when I try to pump my kite, pulling the pump is crazy hard and last time I had to take the hose out to let the air in, then back on the pump to pump the kite but it's clearly not ideal.
I can inflate the kite to a decent pressure but when it gets near the 7psi, I can no longer pump it.
Its an LF PUMP, about 1yo.

Cheers!

Unscrew the cap,
Pull out the shaft and check the base is screwed onto the shaft
Look at the 2 rubber flanges
If ones kinked, that's possibly your problem
Check the cylinder and flanges are clean,
Silicone spray or a lube ( lube can attract sand)
To the cylinder and flanges and check
Always undo your pipe after each gig as that kinks at connection and splits, meaning loss of air too

Thanks for your help.

I looked a bit further and according to what I can see, it all looks good, well lubed and no sand, and everything screwed and tight.
What's really wierd is that once the cap is open, If I activate it, it works just fine. Pushing exhail the air in "inflate", while pulling fill the chamber using the deflate side. As soon as I screw the cap back in, it gives me all sorts of mixture of effect.
Somethimes air in and out only from "inflate", somethime only from "deflate", most of the time a mix of the two at various level...

I checked out a youtube video to service your pump but it doesnt go into details apart from cleaining and lub + repair of the hose...

Aslo check the intake outtake valve flanges inside pump at base. These can stop working by sticking or not closing properly because of sand particles or grease. It's almost impossible to see this happening. I find they can do it after a while if you have sprayed lubricant on or in your pump. You can clean in a petrol bath, or degreaser and dry completely. They work best powder dry.

Thanks. The valves seems to be not really sticky but I will give it a deep clean and re-lubricate the pump
