Hey Laurie,

Reckon we could put a few key forum threads at the top of the general section as stickied? In particular:

1. Basic Kiting Safety
2. Kiting Etiquette and signals
3. Safe self launching and landing

I realise there is a thread in the Newbie section with FAQ and useful links, but the same things keep coming up, I'd guess not many people consider themselves noobs, so they stay in the General section! I still find those key posts, like the one from AKS on self landing, crucial references.

Just a suggestion.

Cheers,

Jimbo.

Couldn't do any harm.

And good point about the "noobs" section. I don't think I've ever really looked in there.

Helping people start kiting is great - and good on them for asking. Better that, than injuring themselves, or others.

I'd suggest that just like they don't know how to rig a kite, or find an instructors, they also don't know the fastest way to find Newbie info on Seabreeze.

.. and there is so much info, which is all desperate to be "at the top".

I've put a heap of work in to cater for people starting Kitesurfing:

There is an entire forum dedicated to starting called "Newbies":
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/Newbies-Tips-Tricks/

In that forum, there are stickies, with lots of "Getting Started" tips:
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/Newbies-Tips-Tricks/Welcome-FAQ-How-Tos/

Plus .. lots of articles we've written to help newbies:
www.seabreeze.com.au/Articles/Kitesurfing/Summary.aspx

People are only newbies for a short whiles...
