Yes Stabber Kites is on the horizon for late 2012 .

Looking to launch before Merimbula comp this year....

Looking for team riders for our new range of Stabber kites.

Also a small range of boards is proposed expected retail below $500. Most kites are expected to be retailed at $1000 or less(full set up).

I'll post the logo design here soon as we get it, thanks to some very keen supporters we have the logo as a clenched fist, holding a Knife, whilst giving the bird!

This brand will take the p!ss outa most of the competition as I think it is way too clicky out there......

Any ideas are warmly considered..... names of the styles etc...

Watch this space...

Will they be a bit heavy when they get wet ?

I thought sheepskin absorbed water

At least they will be soft when they hit somebody at Melville / the Pond / North Cott / South Beach / North Beach / ......

Since you asked for ideas....

If you are wish to use seabreeze forums to advertise your wares, maybe play by the rules and become a site sponsor (otherwise people may confuse you with a cheap pimp)

Sorry to say it but destined to fail with that kind of logo.

Do you think dads or mums want to pump thier kite up infront of thier kids if its got a hand holding a knife with a finger sign that translates to "**** you". Thats an obsenity and not something I would like to take down to my local beach infront of the community.

Also when I think of certian kite companies and what thier kites tell me about them, I look at core and see a simple but clean design that tells me thier company doesnt waste time designing fancy graphics that detract from the kite and make a quality product, when I look at slingshot I again see simple nuetral design using simple geometric shapes that are clean, when I look at an old cabrinha I see skulls and flames and think some idiot designed it trying to make a "hardcore" looking kite but new cabrinha kites are simple and nicely coloured with nuetral graphics.

The logo your describing sounds like a big douchebag alert and kiting in its simplest form detracts from these kinds of people and isntead attractes people with a love for the wind, water and waves at the same time as mother nature, something that Pete Cabrinha captured in his simple logo.

I am both a school teacher and a team rider and if I had that logo large and visible on something I own I would get flamed. Everything we do has to go through the "front page test" if it wouldnt look good on the front page of the news then dont do it.

Sorry but I get quite hung up on these kind of simple mistakes that can make or break something and its reputation.

Even of this is all made up.

Anyone could do a better design than the North Rebels/Vegas designs.

Total dogs balls.

if it costs under a grand for the whole thing then i'm sure a lot of dad's would tolerate a finger logo. will go with the kids t shirt.
Hell i'd tolerate a picture of stabber on it

uuummmm what about Stabshot?

and to stand out from the crowed maybe imperial sizes
like 7 and 13/32nds ,9 and 7/10ths

like the sound of the logo, just screams "Mate get out of my way"

and being sheepskin you could use it as a sleeping bag if you get
stuck some where like them dudes down in Victoria

haha love it.

how about:
The Epic Shagger (the big boy's kite)
The Average Joe (for those 9m days)
The Instructor (good when it's windy but sometimes you wish it was bigger)
The Pro (small, fast, with pretty graphics, The Pro is nice to look at but is only good on certain days)

How to make a few hundred teenage SB members blush.

Could be interesting walking into a kite shop and asking for a Stabber Small Pink Bits, or a Big Black Stabber...

Yes I have thought it over and I think I'll just cut that middle finger off the logo and replace it with an "exclamation ! mark" ....that should fix any F.U. issues the parents may have.

And Debra Hutton's nude front page picture doesn't pass your "front page " test IMO But still is popular.....

Haha Tightlines (kent)... Oops I meant Hotspur, local Whitey crew... Too many nicknames to remember on SB.
(It's his "posh" way he holds his hand when he kites, mainly toeside... And his signature pretty little backrolls into catching a wave! Very elegant :-) )

You can call your lightweight learner model the flickblade, the mid-range kite the samurai and the top end c-kite the sledgehammer. You can call your twintip the kerbstomper and the wave board the faceslasher.

Sign me up for one of each. I'll also take the limited edition middle finger and I want all kites to be blood red.

If I can't take the middle finger (for lame-arse politically correctness reasons) then can I have a picture of a fist with a bloody stump from a severed middle finger instead?

Whats your account number and BSB...
