Hi all,
Have been looking at going on a kitesurfari to tarifa, spain and essaouira/dakhla, morocco during dec-jan. Have done quite a bit of reading about it but have conflicting/biased views of these places during this time of year. From what i understand it's their off-season with less wind then their summer but with still very much kitable conditions ~17kn+ with shortie weather

Anyone have any personal experience with these locations?

Cheers

I was there for a couple of days in the 1st week of Feb this year and there was no wind then.

That can happen anywhere I know but that was my experience.

Went across to Morocco too and nothing there at the same time.

in tarifa in september i was cold in a springer. in dec/jan you would definitely need a good steamer

I lived there (tarifa) for 6 months august-jan. Wind is random over xmas, you can get good days, but its not like the howling summer, though there are less people You'd be better off going snowboarding (sierra nevada, south spain) or surfing (lagos in portugal or tagahzout in morroco) or eating tapas and enjoying the student nightlife in Grenada.

Plus why on earth would you leave WA in dec/jan looking for wind?
