Its that time of year and Im getting excited about demo'ing some new kites over the next couple of months. If you are too, what are the top 3 you are interested in trying based on what you've heard so far? Currently riding flexis and have a vegas for back up, so far Im thinking:

1. Rev2
2. Vegas
3. Not sure - maybe a havoc, or a fuel

PS. Im not pimping - and have an open mind this year, as you can see there is no particular brand loyalty above...

Im desperately trawling through every forum and product page i can find as i just sold my 07 rebels. Particulary, im looking to try the following

1. Rev2 - high on my list, ppl just cant stop saying good things about the old model
2. 09 Rebel - I did love my 07s (and never had a single problem) so i just have to try these out
3. Wainman Rabbit Series - im a bit concerned about throwing cash into a first gen model, but the net is alive with reports about how great these are.

If anyone demos any of these kites please post reviews, i will get typing as soon as i have conned my way into the pants of friendly kite store

12 meter sizes as thats what i am looking at replacing of the following kites!

psycho 4 - like the new bar, no pulleys, 5th line... if it flies like a c kite i may end up buying one, own a flysurfer speed 2 which is an awesome light wind kite. just depends on its stability in cross offshore winds.

vegas - own the 10 meter 08 model..looooooooooooooooooooooooove it! wana see if the 09 is just as good with a little more bottom end as my ten meter only becomes fun over 20 knots.

edge2 - hear so much about this kite, i wana try it see if it will convert me!

thruster - the dark horse, not much pimping out there but if offered to demo, i am not going to knock it back.... its kind of c right?

new kites ..... if the winds up in gero ill be heading there next week.

Hey Cwamit,

You're right, the Eclipse gear is the dark horse, one to keep an eye on!

The Thruster is coming and yes it is C-like. Loads of pimping on kiteforum.com about the new Eclipse gear. I'll bring some Eclipse toys with me when I venture down south.

Good winds,

You wont need a 12 after you try an Edge 9m.
The 9m edge is now my low wind kite.
Starts at 15 fun at 20 amazing at 20+

Certainly 2008 we saw most established brands in the market with very good quality and high performance kites. I would try as many differenct types of kites as you can.

Liquid Force Havoc is our top seller and I recommend you to give it a go too. 08 or 09 models has top quality built and tons of lower grunt without hefty bar pressure. It is my favourite kite of all time, for water, land or snow. Contact your local distributor to arrange demo or if there isnt one where you are, let me know and I'll get one sent down to you or point you to a local guy who has one near you.

Have fun and hope you find your favourite kite soon!
