My favorite board, "Shifty," a custom made balsa construction board by KAOS69....I'm so sad I can hardly type. Anyhow, it was taken around 12:45 from Woodies offshore beach.
The board has my name and number etched in under the fibre glass near the handle. I am so pissed off...I left the board on the beach for all of 20 min......
Dam dam dam........

If any one is offered this board for sale...please contact me and bury the vendor. Yea, I've also put it in the Lost and Found section...but I feel better screaming about this loss on the main forum as a reminder of the vermin that frequents Woodies when you least expect it.....
But trying to smile because I was the only one out and looks like I got the best part of the day![]()
My condolences gruezi. The thieving gypsy's must have taste at least! Keep an eye on Ebay or worse still cash converters!
The wind picked up a touch after you left and treated the patient crew to some affable wind.
sorry to hear of your loss gruezi.....will keep an eye out up this way for ya. If i catch the mongrell, i'll give you a call to sort him out yourself. ![]()
Bummer dude, if it’s any help to heal the pain, chances are it's probably sitting in some pawn shop being sold as a coffee table or oversize snack tray, Twas a nice looking board none the less.
Sorry to hear that Nick,
That sux!
I know how close you were to that board. Its a pretty distinctive board so hopefully it will show up somewhere.
To try and find some positive from this event, maybe it's a timely reminder to all of us and the noobs just beginning in our sport who don't have the experience of theft of kiting gear, that with summer comes thieves to many of our fave riding spots.
Keep a close eye on your gear at all times and leave nothing in your car at Woodies, Leighton, Contacio's, Trigg, Pinnaroo and Mullaloo, and any of the more deserted carparks along West Coast Highway.
Sorry again Nick ![]()
Good winds,![]()
Guys, This was a very distinctive board.....
It also has his name and contact number under the handle. Done on rice paper and glassed in. Therefore unless nick gets a call this was stolen and not picked up. Please dont just beat someone up find out where the might have bought it from first
Major P-off gruezi - 'shifty' was one sweet board.
WARNING
1) Dont assume that fishermen = safe.
I always have but I was down there; sitting waiting for wind (must have been before my 13M REV arrived
); when two dudes came back from the groin with rods and started checking car interiors pretty thoroughly - till they saw me lounging back in mine. Dont know what car they were in as they gave it up straight away then headed across the dunes towards the jetty side ?
AND
2) Young dark skinned youths on small but fast cross-country bike/s are defintely regular offenders. Well known to police & security. Dont leave your car or gear if you see them anywhere around the place. Apparently they are very bold & aggressive if cornered - just like any form of filthy scum-eating rats.
They will remove gear bit by bit, hide it in the dunes then return later with a vehicle to collect it all up. If you are a victim it might pay to do an immediate walk around through the bushes along the roadside.
enjoy your cold crappy conditions Bignose. Must be very frustrating not being able to kite in seabreezes every day for the next 3-4 months.....
speaking about pathetic girls, thats a huge jump on your profile
LOL.![]()
I cant believe how many posts are on seabreeze about stuff being flogged at woodies.
Has anyone perpously left gear well in sight in their cars then hid in the bushes and watched for these vermon and smashed them.![]()

Glad I live where I do,drive on beach and leave keys in ignition, car open, spare board laying on beach if want to change size, mobile phone laying in back of tray of ute so can check for messages every half hour(usually cause should be at work and not kiteing),hell I have even been to lazy to pack up kite and lines to dive 15mins to get a feed and left everything on the beach and left for half hour, refueld body came back and everything still there.
I live in a fairly rural area where if you dont know someones name you usually know there face and where they live.
Sorry to hear about old shifty,Im sure she is missing you as well![]()
