Why cant they release this in a 3 strut version?

Didn't help Marc much, he got third in his first heat. Always has a second shot in round 2 though.

Because it'd be shidt in powered conditions, which is what the kite is about I'd say

what about core GTS? cab FX, north dice, f one bandit, etc. All 3 struts.....

Dudes are riding those in king of the air and megaloop challenge in Holland.

You don't think that 50+ knots on an 8m kite is considered powered? Looks like they work pretty well to me. I think Josh Emmanuel is on top of the woo leaderboard at nearly 30m riding an 8m GTS4

All the kites mentioned arnt c kites, I'm sure the question was why don't they make it a 3 strut, stability in a true c kite
would be the main issue using 3 struts, if you email switch kites I'm pretty sure this would be in their reply, why would you need it to be a 3 strut?

This looks pretty similar shape to some of the mentioned 3strut options above. It has bridals too. Its a soft C at best.

Mmm yeah this isn't a true C kite either with it's bridals and it is similar shape to the aforementioned 3 strut kites. Again, stability doesn't seem to be much of an issue for all the guys going huge on those 3 strut kites I have previously mentioned.

I like the 3 strut design for simplicity (i.e. less valves to de laminate in a hot car, less to go wrong) and usability. I think the 3 strut design drifts better down the line and is a pretty good all round. They already had the legacy in their line up and this is pretty similar. My main gripe is it would have been nice to have a cheaper alternative to the GTS/Dice/FX/enduro, etc

Pretty sure the new element is 5 strut too, Might be something to do with canopy tension. I've flown switch and they previously always felt heavy and spongy, trailing edge always looked wrong.

New Element looks like a big improvement, yet to fly it.

because its actually an ikon blind. seems theyve rebranded another ikon kite after the new element rather than designing new ones
