This is my crash reel from the 2014 snow kiting season. I got around 45 days kiting between here in Australia and my road trip around America. These are my best crashes, fails and near misses.
Learning to jump on snow can really hurt.
Great video, show us one with the successful landings too :)
I gotta say snowkiting using a snowboard looks way cooler, but that's coming from a passionate snowboarder... so I may be biased.
Im a passionate skier so skis are cooler to me
I should have my season high lights vid finished soon, I'll put it up once its done.
When this was shot I had never kited on water before and this was my first season trying to jump with a kite
Kite control is defiantly the issue , should have that sorted this season after learning to jump on water this past summer.
Where are some good places to Snow kite in Aus?Just got a new snowboard and keen to give it a go this season.
Well that's put me off ski kiting! I'm a good skier and an OK kiter so was one day hoping to try and put the two together...
Sounds as though your skiing is your strength more than your kiting? Can there be hope for me!!??

He can definitely kite on water now. He is great to watch........
The best plce is from the top of Thredbo NSW, Theres some good spots just above the resort or you can go exploring the endless main range
If your on FB theres a group called Kosi Kiters that we all use to hook up with other kiters and share wind and snow reports
Great vid mate. Im wondering why you didnt sheet out when you crashed, often resulting in being dragged along. Is it because you didnt want the kite to touch the snow or cause you were learning to fly the kite as mentioned.
Not having a dig, just wondering cause i might give snow kiting a go this winter.
