Anyone tried kiting on a single fin surfboard? Got an old short performance single fin I might turn into my strapless board (for learning) just not sure if it's worth it. Anyone given it a go?

I rode an old single fin mal a few times when starting strapless & had a ball - but you might want a thruster or quad once you get into it.

Yes. It's as hard as surfing a single fin well. Get a Thruster/Twin/Quad unless you just want to try something different.

I'm riding a skim board which you can attache a small fin to. It's great fun and improves your balance really well. Give it a go, I think it's great fun to try out riding all sorts of things.

I tried it - and it was fun

Definitely can see a quad or even a twin fin would be easier to ride, as the singley almost turns too easily. But I reckon with time I can get it working well.
