Hey guys.

Anyone know of a company that ship things to Europe? As my visa is expiring shortly and even though I have been offered a sponsor visa and a full time job
(aside of my other jobs) the glorious system of immigration has still refused my
application, which means I have to leave for good. Having lived here a couple of years I have of course gathered a handsome amount to belongings. Computers, cameras, clothes, various electronics and gear.

I'm sure I could send stuff with Australia Post, but thought there must be a way to send it by sea, this way making it way cheaper. Sure it may take a few months but not too worried about that since most of the stuff I won't need straight away anyway, or I'll just ship it now. Like a company where you can buy a pallet in a container or something and send it that way, or any other cheap way to ship things to Europe.

Thanks guys.

In Perth try Bullocks, they might help, if not a lot of removalists will ship a pallet.

seven seas will also send stuff.

there are quite a few shipping agents in freo that you can buy a pallet from, usually by the meter. i think i used k line last time but have a look as the prices change all the time. drop off is at northport container dock. spewing about immigration, that sucks. also check http://au.vicdir.com/dir/w142358s31753 should be some one there who can help you.

Look for a freight forwarding company. I shipped a crate with my Vespa and other stuff in it from Melbourne to London in 2004 for about $500, but then I had expenses at the other end such as customs clearance, delivery, so it was probably close to $800 all up. And that was by sea.

If you want my advice just sell off/chuck out as much stuff as you can. Rip the Hard Drive out of your computer and buy a new one here. Things are in a bad way especially in the UK and there are crazy sales on everything. The whole country has gone into liquidation sales. I just hope its not what lays in the future for Australia!

Damn shame about the Visa situation. Aus immigration has to be one of the toughest in the world. If you had a choice I would definitely say stay! I'm flying back to Melbourne on Wednesday after spending 2 months trying to find work here. Normally I find new contracts in a week.

Yeah I will try and get rid of most of my things, but will probably still need to send one suitcase. I'll see what I can do..

I wanted to stay, and I did everything in my power to, but immigration still put the kibosh on it. Damn shame, and after what I've been through I wouldn't want to stay anyway. Been treated so bad and am so discourage and disgusted by it all that I'm fed up...

If only the government bodies functioned and thought the same way as you aussies I deal with in my every day life, what a sweet place it would be...

Hi Dave,

I'm in the same situation and should leave Down Under the 30th of this month. Let me know how you're doing with your gear, could be helpful to share our experiences.

I've got around 25kg of clothes and stuffs in my my bag and another 25kg for my board, 2 kites, wetsuit... Australia post would deliver 20kg for 179$.

Did you find much better??

Hey Dave!
I used www.sevenseasworldwide.com/ for shipping stuff from the UK to OZ. Took about 3 months to have it shiopped door to door.

Too bad about the visa mate.
