Just saw the new shinnster and foil. Obvious question is, is it possible to adapt the 2014/2015 shinnster to take a shinn foil, or am I getting ahead of myself?

Unfortunately the foil plate requires 6 inserts in the board to be able to fit it... So unless you want to take a drill to your beloved shinnster, I'm afraid it isn't compatible :(
Mine works fine - albeit with a ketos foil
4 holes, carbon plate on top
Bit of tape on the holes when in normal mode
Not the most rigid set up as a foil, but fine if you can keep your feet relatively close together
