Investigators are warning shoppers about a scam involving the fraudulent sale of equestrian products.
"The scams typically involve the advertisement of saddles on equestrian websites or have the scammer answer advertisements from people seeking to purchase equestrian goods," WA Police said.
"Investigators wish to remind the community to be mindful when using the internet to purchase goods, after identifying several fraudulent email and site profiles used to conceal the identity of local scammers who receive payment for non-existent items."
Detectives from the Technology Crime Investigations Unit would like to speak to people who believe they are victims of such a scam.
