Looking at buying a 3 kite quiver and want to know what will save me more money in the long run after reselling those kites in the future.
Is it better to buy 3 kites complete with bars and be able to therefore sell them all complete? Easier to find buyers, can ask for more money...
or
Is it better to buy 3 kites with only 2 of them being complete? Makes an upfront saving of nearly $400, however may be harder to sell, can't ask for as much money
So, which is the best option out of the two for saving me monies in the long run?
You're asking people on here and expecting a serious answer??![]()

Would you buy a used kite with no bar?
Is that an answer?
what about buying 3 kites but 1 bar? save $800? or near it?
A lot of bars now can be changed length very easily. not that it matters for me because I use the bar from a 7m on my 12 (same line length though
would also depend on how you plan to sell them? If its trading in at a shop I wouldnt worry about it too much, but if you plan to buy privately id get the bars.
i say complete each one.
when you sell you get maximum price. also if you use the same bar and lines they wear much faster and can look worn
although some of the cheaper kites online (BWS, switch etc) that I'd consider just getting canopies
i bought two kites one bar a couple o years ago
the 9m is pretty well used the 12m like new really, bar looks hammered, have to sell the both together, the 9m probably not worth much anyway i suppose
i would buy two bars for three kites, i am going to do the same start next season, cash permitting, always a back up bar too
just gives the option to sell at least one/two set up fairly ok looking i rekon
Bars lose value, just as kites do..
So I say the less stuff you have and later resell, the less money you lose.
Unless you sell a kite to a beginner who has no clue about bars and just wants an all in one package to get going, kite only should be fine I suppose. Even then, you could point him to a second hand bar that would be suitable for your kite.
i got a 9 and 11 airush razor and can unhook from about 16/17 to 25 ... after 25 unhooking becomes pretty sketchy anyway and unhooking on small kites suck. by east coast standards i guess it'd be more like 18 - 28ish
