Hey gang,
To those who know Badrox or Ketut of Bali Bagus Kitesurfing in Bali fame, some really sad news.
I just wanted to let everyone know that he passed away this morning.
All that is know so far is that he felt off colour with temperatures earlier that day and went to the doctor where he felt better but temps came back so he was taken to hospital. Early hours this morning he passed. I don't know any other details yet.
Sorry but I thought some of you might liked to know,
Robbie
I really don't know what to say.
Ketut and is family really made our yearly trip to Sanur a high light.
He had trouble saying my name so he called me Wayan.
RIP young fella.
Taught me to kite on an old Peter Lynn Doona back in 2007... the guys had fun back then in Sanur, parasailing off the back of the boat with a 12m kite when there was not enough wind, wakeboarding on kiteboards when the wind was crap and they were bored.. Putting the gill net out straight off the beach and then having a BBQ fish lunch and sharing with whoever turned up.
Good times..
RIP
Very sad news, he did so much to make everyone welcome, way too young, hope Putu and the girls will be ok, catch up there in July Robbie, maybe we can do something in his memory.
Much Gratitude to all who helped from the Family, they have a tough time ahead, and the spontaneous assistance was very appreciated. The Warung will be back open in a couple of weeks, with the Kiteschool (probably) to follow soon thereafter, cheers!
Sad to hear ....fun people , willing to help . Rescued me in the boat a couple of years ago .
i am back out to Sanur in May .

RIP Ketut we had some good laughs. I gave Ketut a slingshot rev kite and bar last year he was very happy.
For me ,Putu and Ketut have been the positive constant on the strip of Sanur where he and Putu have their warung.
We were only just having a chat with Ketut 2 days before he passed away - the usual friendly banter.
I have spent many hours over the last 5 years chatting to them and their family. They always gave a happy and friendly welcome to Pak Eddie which filled me with a sense of relief in arriving to a place where I can relax and enjoy being amongst friends with no strings attached. For me , there are few places which can do that. I will miss him a lot.
Ketut could make us laugh out loud with his unique way of story telling but also had a strong sense of right and wrong and displayed a particular gentle wisdom in his thinking when discussing more serious things. He was a great fella.
RIP Ketut and here's hoping Putu and his tight knit family will work through this tough time OK.
^^^^ very well put mate....
Agree 100%
Hey Tony,
