Hi everyone

My van got broken into last night in Newcastle and the little bastards cleaned me out. Ipad, iphone, wallet, gopro, amongst a heap of other stuff. I am in the middle of moving, so had a heap of stuff in there that normally wouldnt be in there. They left my kites and SUP, but took an F-one Bamboo custom 5'8" board (2011 I think). There is a small repair on the underside that would identify it immediately. If anyone sees one for sale anywhere... please let me know.

thats horrible - hope you get some of it back

Did you by chance have the Apple tracking system where you can track your device

I have heard of people getting their laptops and phone back

That sux big time......and I thought break in's were a west oz thing.
On the bright side at least they didn't take you kites and SUP.

As Bruce said if you haven't already you should check out the apple tracking system, it may be to late if you haven't set it up this time but worth a look when you replace your Igadgets.

A justification for Capital Punishment if ever there was one. Yet another reason to legalise drugs--guaranteed that it's addicts hunting quick $s.

Check the usual spots like eBay but also lesser-knowns such a GumTree and TradingPost and of course ring all the Cash Converters in the region. If you still have the serial numbers and IMEI number on the phone/iPad you can get Apple to block them from being able to be used, even if you don't get them back. Networks can also sometimes actually track the location of the device from the IMEI number but requires involvement of law enforcement.

A mate had his windsurfing stuff stolen from out of his car a while back.

Worked in a surf shop in SA.

2 months later a guy came in tryng to sell some windsurfing rig (the stolen stuff) back to old mate.

Turns out the gear had been stolen by a couple of horse jockeys and was stashed in a stable and was covered in all sorts of crap.

thieving little bastards!

hope that made you laugh!

Good luck getting your gear back.

Thanks everyone. I did have that apple tracking thing on my phone & ipad but as yet they have not popped up on the radar.

The rest of the stuff I have kissed a big fat goodbye.
