As posted in the WA section, in case you missed it:
JetRanger said...Hi Folks,
The Surf Rescue Helicopter will operate everyday until the end of Feb 09, then weekends to the end of March 09.
Our normal patrol height is 200ft which should provide no conflict with kites. (Try not to make a competition of getting over 200ft

)
There is a helipad at Floreat, and beach landings may be made at any site along the coast. (Beach landing sites will be secured in advance by local SLSWA crew).
The aircraft and crew will land at Floreat, or on the beach in other locations and perform or practice static line rescues from time to time. This requires a reasonable amount concentration and attention from the pilot and crew.
On these occasions we will be operating below the height at which you operate your kites. Even the brightest dayglo sails are hard to pick out and count at the best of times.
The practices sessions take around 30 minutes. We much appreciate your co-operation and forebearance in providing space for the crew to operate the helicopter at these times.
Many thanks on behalf of the crew.

p.s. I am not aladinsane but I do work with him.
