Flew my kite into a barbecue area yesterday arvo (harness broke, but still no excuses, I kooked it up)...real smart just before windfest.

Text Ryan, sent pics... got in the car and drove to Perth.

Ryan opened his workshop fixed two decent rips, plus a leading edge repair I didn't realise had happened. We - ha ha I mean Ryan, didn't finish until 930pm.

Was great watching him do his trade actually.

He's passionate kiter himself and does a bloody good job, at reasonable prices.

Legend in the making. I owe him a beer or two or three this weekend at WINDFEST.

Send your kites there folks if you don't already.... if you want it done right.

He's actually a tailor of kites
you can see he takes pride in his work, does his best to colour match and you get the same attention to detail from a simple patch to a full canopy Le tear, a can do attitude which is kiters need, he knows what it's like to be off the water

Was it the same bogan with a stick and a dog, but this time he threw a bbq onto your kite?
Great service and glad you are well equipped what I am sure will be an absolute blast! Enjoy

Enjoy what he can do (sounds good) - I got so much stoke out of mine's ability and enjoyment (its morphed - I even get a lift back to my car now -- when the moon is blue!!).
Not sure what age he is but mine started paying for his kit (in part) at 11-12 & @13 full on (sponsored - his first job with a Kite shop (Thank you Jarrett) ).

B4 that he stacked stuff - his friends were worse on our kit!!- that's life - like cars never start with a brand new Beamer (unless you can discard and replace).

To be honest my opinion was totally colored by my ability to out-crash him (just not in a tree (yet!) or BBQ for that matter).
There are thankfully a number of good repair shops around the country run by passionate individuals with craftsmanship built into their DNA.

cheers
AP - (still vying for the title - the world's best perennial beginner)
(Yes I would rather be where U R this W/E - the wind gods have your ledger in the Black)
