What would be the closest resembling boot in the liquid force line up to the ronix one?
After 5 years of riding the ones I'm sick of them falling apart so going to give Liquid Force a shot hopping to get more than 1 season out of them.
PS Any one after some 2012 size 10 One's only used for 2 hour in the fresh stuff?
I've been through just as many LF boots as I have ronix over the years and not a huge fan of the way they feel. I'm now back on 015 ONE's and for me they are the best boot I've ever used still going strong after 12 months. Most brands are really stepping up the quality in their boots now. Check out the new slingshot rads they feel good and look really well made.
Never tried Ronix. Used to ride LF Vantage. Not the best quality, broke after less than a season (heel released from base plate). Got money back off warranty though so that was good (was 3 years ago so I guess they could've improved by now). Changed to SS Shredtown. Name implies they should be used for some sick riding, however they also broke quite quickly (inner shoe was tearing the outer shoe to pieces when taking them on and off). Got them changed for the SS KTV's. They don't have a removable inner shoe like the Shredtown's so they don't suffer from the issue I had with them (Rad is also fixed so should be the same as KTV). Has lasted 2 seasons now both on cable and kite. The heel lining is getting a bit torn but I think I can glue it back on. Really sick boot. Love the velcro for putting them on one handed when steering the kite with the other hand. But if you prefer laces I've heard that the Rad's are supposed to be sweet as well.
But as strydz said most brands are taking boots much more seriously than a few years back so I think quality has improved generally.
Ronix One = Shane
Ronix Cell = Watson
(Roughly speaking).
All boots fall apart, some quicker than others.
I've been riding boots for about 12years now and the only boots that seem to last any decent length of time for me in the last 5 years are Hyperlite Systems. Ronix on average would last me 3 months (or less), LF at a point even less (now I would say slightly more). But whether they are still stiched together or not you can't get around the fact that the boot itself just turns into a sloppy mess not long down the track... hence why the design of Systems make so much sense.
p.s. If you're wondering I actually buy my own boots, I'm not hooked up by Hyperlite.
I paid $80 to get my Ronix stitched up. Back heel started falling apart.
I think it was worth the $$ as the new boots are $700+
That was 6 months ago and they are still going strong!
