Guys
have acquired some Rev2's but i seem to have a problem getting the jumps dialed in.
Every time i go to jump i am getting a lot of pendulum swing under the kite, and of course end up crashing the land.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get this sorted?
Any large jump will have you 'penduluming' a little bit.
You can minimize it by pointing as far upwind as possible before lift off and not bringing your kite too far over your head and holding it at 12 while in the air and lowering it quickly as you land.
It sounds like it is faster than you are used to and that you are over sending it. Just give it a quick yank and then bring the bar back to a neutral position before you launch....
Thanks for the tips guys, will give them a run on my next session. I think i am sending it back to far, and then of course not bringing it back quick enough.
Hey Mate
The main reason for pendullam under the kite is because you over send the kite and then don't bring it back for the landing.
So key points for jumping are as follows.
Edge upwind and hold your edge
Push bar out and then turn kite for the jump (This makes the jump upwards and not forwards)
Then as you lift off, bring kite back 12.
Then spot your landing and redirect your kite in direction you are travelling.
Land and Ride away.
Good luck.
Rev2 are sick kites, you wil love them
