Thumbs Up

All this long talk about non progressing quite equipment, bows and C's and hybrids and foils and tempers and bored windless days has had me thinking...

Would there be interest to do a KITE RETRO down-winder?

It is a real silly idea to have fun - I just don't know if anyone else thinks that it could be fun, or just plain stupid --- anyhow, here is the "pitch"

Kiters take their oldest gear, dress "appropriately" and then downwind city beach to Scarborough...

Suggested Rules:
* Kite must be at least 2005 or before, have a safety system and fly - i.e. I have a 1999 Wipika Classic 5m
* Appropriate dress means one should be the same generation as your kite - see below. Only one item of dress required. needs to be water friendly or water "sacrificiable" and safe for kiting - e.g 1999 kite will be 1960's dress code
* there is no race, but you have to make it all the way
* Finish with a light BYO barbie at Scarbs

Should make everyone appreciate the new equipment...

What do you think Phill /Puppet?

Kite ages tables:

Kite older than 2001 - 1960's - think Velcro, tights and hippie colours
Kite older than 2003 - 1970's - think big hairstyles and flair trousers and bad taste in colours
Kite older than 2005 - 1980's - coloured hair, big jackets and shiny shimmering decorations
