Gee Mike that is no good.

Condolences to all his family and friends.

Kitethrills arranged my very first kitesurf lessons with Sam (Saturday then Sunday in northerly then southerly) on the beach right there at Currimundi...yelling at me through the wind noise I though he was pretty strict actually but he definitely had my safety as his first concern.

He body dragged me around in the shallows that Sunday and I was hooked on this great sport for life!

Once I was competent I saw him a few times out at Bulcock trolling the surf zone for lost twin tips, looking out for others well being!!!

I am sure he will be missed.

Sam very rarely missed a session, in his 50's and putting in more water time than most.
I'f he wasn't at Happys on the outgoing, you would find him at Sbends rigging up for a second if not third downwinder,
and always looking forward to late summer sessions at Moffats.

If the wind was on, guaranteed his green van was there.

The Eternal Grom, you will be missed.
