I have 2012 North WAM but had a serious run in with some reef/rocks in my last sesh yesterday and 2 out of 3 fins in my thruster setup ate it hard!!

So...rather than getting the standard North WAM replacements, has anyone had any experiences with different types of Futures Fins for Kitesurfing?

No, but am curious about the blackstix. They have a hollow on the inside of the side fins, reckon they would be loose and fun!

You could probably repair with solarez if you could be bothered.

hey Nick,

blackstix are awesome, grippy when you want them to hold but if you really want to load up and kick the rear out through the top of the wave you can.

The only downside is the $ when you get too close to reef

I now run my 2011 Wam as a quad and use the Simon Anderson larges in it. I love it more now as a quad than thruster set up. Im about 90-95kg. Id be sticking to a larger template (7 series) as the standard Wam fins are large in size too.

Looking at your photo shows how strong the future boxes are compared to FCS

Hi DaFinchy,

Blackstix are the most popular fins we sell for WAM's. We also sell S-Tows for the Kontacts. We sell Techflex AM2's which seem to work well. The YU Quads are excellent for 4 fin setups.

Even the Vector II's are a great fin for the budget conscious JC1's or AM1's for the lighter guys.

Hope this helps.

Would you be interested in selling me your damaged fins? Working on a project and would like some future fin bases. Cheerz
