The Edit episode covers everything you need to know to get an engaging edit down.
Part 1 covers software tips (There is even some free software out there that works well), what story elements to bring in and tips on switching up camera angles.
Part 2 is based on a recent edit called "Special Delivery" - and gives a complete editing breakdown / behind the scenes look at the movie.

I'm looking at a Camcorder. Your sony camcorder. would that be high end or middle of the road?
Video Edit are a great help thanks for sharing.
its great to hear crew are getting value out of the Reflex film school page
regarding camcorders:
content is king
even shooting in standard definition will give good results - most people will end up editing and posting a 640 x 360 pixel movie of their work.
It is far better to have the camera you can afford now and be getting content / learning how to shoot than to wait for the amazing camera that you cant quite afford yet.
My sony HC3 was the top end consumer camera when i bought it back in 07 - it was the 2nd wave of hdv cameras that sony made. it cost about 2g back then - and has been a great little work horse. The sony / canon / panasonics in the 1 -2 g price range are all a pretty safe bet.
