That is my question?
I am looking at these to kites deliberating which one i should lean towards buying?
There both second hand and im wondering which of the two is a better performer?

Any suggestions and comments would be greatly appreciated

they are both very similar kites, 07 has been refined for 08
i find the 08 has less bar pressure and more stable, smoother depower

I have had the 07 and now have the 08. 08 has a bit more power and is much smoother. The extra power is great for our shltty winds here in Byron Bay.Much better than the Havoc i had.

I don’t think the 07 and 08 are what I would call very similar in flying, to me the 07 was more c feeling which is why guys on c kites where stoked at the crossover (read the forums last year about the 07), 07 had direct no pulley feel and more balanced with the steering and front line tension than the 08 which flies mostly on the front lines, and the 07 came with some power in the turns where as the 08 comes with little if any...

the 08 is now more a "flat bow kite " feel in my opinion with little power in the turns (not all bow kites don’t have power in the turns but that’s how I can only describe the diff) it tends to have way beter hang time than last years....

The low end is great and I ride a 12 now where last model year I rode the 14... personally I think the 08 makes a great learning and freestyle all round kite because its more stable and very well behaved as well as easier water re-launching.. something a learner would want in a kite...

people comment its a great wave kite, duno about that I guess it comes down to type of wave ride style and type of wave conditions but for me I spent 2 months trying to get the timing for down the line kite surfing on my 9 and swapped it for the 10 meter Vegas and started nailing it more often… like I was able too on the 07 rebel I had last season....

when it comes to turn power and that grunt feeling the other two kites I use and I like more (7 meter rev and 10 meter 08 Vegas) are more my suited to the style (or lack of) of power down the line ride.

If you’re learning the 08 will be great for you but the 07 was more suited to the guys wanting to cross over from c kites to get the similar feeling… then again those guys should try the vegas, c kites are not going to be extinct soon if they fly like the vegas.. they jump as high as bows and depower almost as much just take longer to relaunch (least for me they do ).
