Hi guys,
1. Has anyone done this mod to stop the rear pulley from going back beyond halfway.

2. Did it achieve the desired effect???

Yes, I have made this modification. The mod makes the kite's turning 100% direct, just like the 2008 Waroo. Direct, meaning my 13 turns faster.

There are only pro's, as far as I'm concerned. Main pro is improved jumping ability cos it allows you to redirect the kite more quickly.

Best Wishes,
Bo

Thanks Bo

I have a 08 Waroo 9m and I was hoping the mod would make the 13m turn that little bit faster.......... I'll go ahead and modify it tonight.......
hopefully get some wind on the weekend to test it......fingers crossed

Cheers

What is too short????
Is there a certain length you should not exceed or reduce to??
I was going to get it as close to the centre as possible.
This to me, makes the rear section slightly shorter because of the length of rope used in the knot.
Is this good or bad??
Or should I do the mod, fly it and then change the pulleys from back to front and see the difference( the other mod you can do )?

wen i did mine i just gestimated whith the bridle still on the kite.. i sugesst wen u pul it so that it sits centred go about halfway between the wing tip and pully.. maybe 2/3rds from the wing tip would work aswell.. i think i had mine a bit too close to the pully though..

i suggest you do both mods back 2 back n see what u like best.. the reverse bridle doesnt really make it faster though, it just makes the kite a bit more grunty and stops the back stall when u sheet in

I placed the rope stopper so that the line lengths looked *equal* - like in the 'green diagram', so it's as Charl implies 'halfways'. The idea is to make the bridle respond directly, so that the canopy as a whole does not slide around when you steer the kite.

By the way I only used the green diagram. Never undid anything or used a marker...

Is it just for the big kites? Anyone done it on a nine? Is it better or worse?

I have 13m 07 Pro and removed the rear bridal front attachment and placed it with the rear attachment point , same as 08 fast setting and it gave the kite a more direct feel and faster turning speed , but it might affect the depower at the top end of the range, it felt good in the air though. And also with this setting I attached the rear line to the second knot.(the kite likes to fly off the front lines)

Setting the kite as above you do loose a lot of (depower")
