use search but couldn't find any info.

my pump has just stopped holding pressure.. I took it apart, cleaned it, tried it and it worked great (no lube of any kind) for two sessions. Now its not holding any pressure again. took it apart, still nice and clean everywhere so tried a little vaso on the rubber parts.. no luck. wipped vasso off, no luck.

Its blowing air unless there is some resistance. just not holding any pressure. definately not enough to pump a kite. Would really appreciate helpful advice as i've had a look for info and nothing i found helped. Thanks

one a year is pretty normal. go to a camping spot like sunseeker said they're heaps cheaper but you may need to make your own pump leash. i tried to get new seals for mine but couldn't find anywhere that stocked them

This season will be the third on the same pump. It still goes strong. Has been wet, covered in sand, left in extreme heat, and has not once been cleaned.
I think the problem is trying to clean in. I like to think all the dirt inside it keeps a strong seal.

My best pump only pumps on the pull up section... which makes pumping really horrible. Was good for two seasons though :P

How much cheaper are pumps at camping stores?

If you buy a new kite you generally get a new pump with it for free.

That must be something like the rust in my ute that works like loctite for holding nuts on?

figured out that the intake valve in the handle was broken. even had a rattle. got a big good pump from camping store for $26. works like magic. cheers for the help.

newo.. there r 2 little circle rubber flaps inside the pump. 1 under neath to seal while pushing down, the other on top to seal on the up stroke. just fix or replace them with anything similar. will work fine. if you cant find any rubber to make one out of, just swap the one that working to the othe side that way it'll work one the down stroke which is a little better.

I got a couple of new pumps with my 03 Switchy's.
One of them gave up after 3 months of use over summer (which was a pretty crap summer.)
Apparently the alli shaft is too long?? So i hacked it down 25mm or so, which for some reason worked, and all is good now.
Regrding the cheaper camping pumps etc, i had a cheapy with a plastic shaft and it lasted literally 3 weeks.
