I have recently purchased a naish kite pump off gumtree. After taking delivery of my new pump it dawned on me that i have north kites.
I have the correct nozzle to suit my north rebel that i can put on the end of my new naish pump to pump it up but i am just wanting to check if my rebel will still work, or even inflate at all, with the air from the naish pump?
Will my kite reject the foreign air? Will it give my kite a bladder infection?
Also eventually i will have to grease the inside of the naish pump i imagine. When i do this the genuine naish air will escape, where can i get a refill from? Do I have to post it back to Hawaii and get robbie to breathe into it?
I cant seem to find any reviews on pumps that have been used on brands other than they were intended for

Nope he's here asking for genuine advice...

What do you think Cauncy? He needs a ozone pump n c4 or catalyst? What would best suit his pump AND never give him problems??

DON'T USE NAISH PUMP ON NORTH!!11!1

The swirl flaps in the pump mechanism will provide the wrong coriolis effect on the air and your kite won't fly correctly. Worse still, the boosting performance will be affected by the gravitational field strength constant and your jumps will be disappointing.

Best to stick to all one brand.........

Phew! Glad i checked. Using the different brand could of been dangerous. Does the same apply to safety leashes?

I have tried to save money on pumps and gotten crap pumps, nozzles that don't fit, pumps that are hard work, etc.
Just get 3 x brandname ozone, naish, or cabrinha pumps and have spares in your shed. Just pay the $40-60 - if it means you've avoided missing 4 sessions that's like $10 a session. As you get older you realise kiting time is way more valuable than anything else, you can always drink less beer or eat mi-goreng for a few days to make it back.

Great advice...what I'm wanting to know though, maybe you can help me with this as you seem to know your pumps, will the air from the naish pump affect my north kites performance when i pump it up. I have the correct nozzle, im just concerned about using another brand of air...

Why would you buy a pump? Just use your lungs..

Human air has positive effect on the performance of all kites, test show that 99% of all kites fly better when pumped up naturally.

If your full of ****e rather than air, just borrow somebody's pump down at the beach, people love sharing their pump around.
