My 13 Yr old has now well and truly got the Kite Stoke. Jumps, back and front rolls are all going well. He's looking to progress to surf kiting but his toe side needs some work and he's still a bit on the tiny and light side and the wife says shell kill me if I hurt him.
Our local has great little kickers but no flat water so any suggestions for moves for him to research and then have a crack at would be greatly appreciated.
Start chaining a few tricks together for a bit of fun without going bigger/harder, plus a chance to work on toeside:
backroll to toeside, carve from toeside back to heelside transition and straight into another backroll- do it quick and it is an amazing transition which leaves your lines untangled
toeside backroll to heelside frontroll transition
old school it- deadman, Knick knack, Jesus walk
s-bend is an easy step from front and back rolls and feels amazing, unhook for extra buzz
lots of fun to be had without kiteloops or handle passes! Watch Lou wainman who was busting out amazing powered wakestyle tricks on 2 lines without having to boost.
yeh or just let him be creative, have fun and see what happens...![]()
Well that's what Aaron Hadlow did and he never really amounted to much did he?! ![]()
Thanks all.
We have some wind this weekend so stringing a few together will be the first port of call and then the toeside backroll to heelside frontroll transitions look like the go.
Never get sick of this....
