I am told by more experienced hydrofoilers that I need to get onto a higher performance carbon foil as soon as possible.

I have about 24 hours riding on my Liquid Force. It's fun and I can do it ok (more or less). I have a hankering for something nicer.

So, what hydrofoils can I buy in Melbourne? Who sells them? What is it going to cost me?

I want a carbon foil and matching hydrofoil specific board. It needs to be:

- reasonably high performance. I'm a freeride kind of guy but I definitely want to go fast.
- very good light wind performance
- lightish weight (light enough to carry without excess strain)
- must break down fairly easily for transport (at least separate board, mast, fuselage/wings)
- I want bags for everything (so my car doesn't get wrecked)
- sorted materials so that corrosion is not a significant issue
- access to a variety of wings for different conditions would be nice. Probably not necessary if the main wings are properly designed.
- dealer and manufacturer should be available to provide decent support for spares, upgrades, repairs etc

The whole kit needs to be under $4000 and closer to $3000 would be better.

Marvin @ kfa would be your best bet you would be on a mk3 on your budget or look around for something 2nd hand.. I found an immaculate spotz2 at a great price 2nd hand and bodgied up a board to get me on the water I'm sorta getting the hang of it now and am also in the hunt for a new board to go with the spotz
