^^ We will have at least 4 of our National Team guys on hand to help me. Riders will be sorted into groups of similar skill and similar goals and coaches will be assigned to groups that best suit their coaching level as well.

We had Chris and his bunch of coaches at our local last season, good times, lots of great tips and fantastic place to improve and meet some like minded kiters.
If this event is in town do not miss it, Chris and Liquid Force are giving back to the kiteboarding scene in a huge way!

Bookings are essential for these clinics as they generally fill up very quickly and we do limit the numbers so as to provide the best level of coaching and time spent with each rider as best we can. Please call the very good people at ML Watersports during business hours on 07 3889 9100 follow the prompts and please talk with one of the team and give them all of your contact details including email, phone etc. We will then contact each rider closer to the dates of the clinics etc. All payments will be by way of direct debit upfront and in the event of no wind we will be organising a winch or using other systems and methods of teaching delivery, should we not get any coaching done either by way of classroom presentation and or on the water refunds may be given.

ML Watersports 07 3889 9100 for all clinic bookings

Thank you, best regards,

KSS Altona in Melbourne will be taking bookings from Sat 24th August.
Should be a great day with a BBQ and a few beers depending on the weather.

You can book by emailing me steve@kssaltona.com.au

We will have the full range of LF gear there too, so even if your not doing the clinic come down and demo the gear. Should be in store from the 26AUG.

If this makes it to Perth this year I'm keen. I've got a couple winches you can use as our cable park won't be up and running yet. May be able to muster a kicker and flat bar as well.

Winch and kickers don't really mix, but it's good that you have one at your disposal, you should drag it out for a kite session!

I'm curious, but don't wan to fool myself so I have to ask;

What skills are deemed necessary to be an 'Intermediate' kiter?

Hey Oceanfire, good question as I am sure more riders have the same question to ask. ( I replied to your pm) But basically we need riders to be past the beginner stage, that is you need to able to ride upwind, have enough kite control to launch/land and relaunch on your own and conduct self rescues if needed. We do not anticipate anyone will need to self rescue but it is an essential skill set of all kiters.

Most intermediate riders would be starting to jump, maybe try rolls and transitions etc

Hope this helps,

Chris

How much? How long does the class go for, what happens if there is no wind?

^^ it is $75pp for the day, which is programmed to start at 11am at each location. If there is no wind, in some locations we will have a winch to play with, but there will also be a lot of theory given for each group, so we will attempt to fill the void. If it all turns to poo we will refund but it does not help anyone if we refund as it limits our ability to deliver these type of events in the future. We are not trying to rob anyone nor are we making any money, it is a cost covering exercise and designed to give back to the kiting community in Aus.

If we get good conditions we will coach until there is no light and or people have had enough!!

Last few days to make your spot for Sunday's Kaizen clinic a certainty!!

Please either email Steve on- steve@kssaltona.com.au or call ML Watersports direct Monday on 07 3889 9100

Places have filled really quickly but we have a couple of spots available but bookings will close Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

We will at this stage (all going to master plan) have a winch there in the event of no wind or light wind, so we can still achieve some board skill work and some more advanced techniques with obstacles and the like!

Well worth the meagre $75 as it all goes to helping ensure these types of sessions are around for the long term!!

Cheers, Chris

Sundays Kaizen Clinic at Kurnell was a great day. The wind took its time to fill in, but it did and all those who attended were able to start putting the tips and direction into practice! With almost 20 participants in got a little crowded at times but I would like to thank all those who attended for their positive attitude and patience on the water!!

From the coaching team, myself, Declan and Kurtis would like to thank Alliance Gear for their amazing support and hospitality- thank you James and Milada. We would also like to thank each rider that attended as for these types of coaching events to happen requires the support of the kiters! It was awesome getting to meet everyone and I personally enjoyed watching you all try new things and sure take a few poundings but I also saw a great deal of improvement throughout the day!!

Looking forward to the next one, which is scheduled for the Sunshine Coast (Brisbane clinic scheduled for 16th Oct has been cancelled) on the weekend of the 2nd/3rd of November! (the day will be announced closer once we know the wind etc). We then will be taking the clinic series west with a stop in Adelaide and then Safety Bay, WA.

Thank you,

Chris Wardell
