oh well I guess they are just crying because everyone said how bad the graphics look

maybe the dealers will have to sell them in their bags and not let the customer see it until they take it home -

Surely kiters have some pride and want want the granny quilt cover -

You have to ask how these designs get past a group of decision makers
Anyhow for those that missed out on seeing the pics of the new cabs I found the designers webpage with some of the graphics they used on the kites

.....not satisfied with just the early hype extending from the faked accidental release of photographs, the cabrina publicity machine plays their trump card, pulling all photos from the web'

if those really are pics of the new cab line . . . . i think the person who signed off on the graphic design will have a lot to answer for this coming season . . .

Ok guys & lovely Ladies

At a guess - their aiming at the massive Euro Market just as Underground have with their future board range... see the similarities ? and have received a big responce in Euroland

Or

your gettin old

Have you looked at the gromets lately & what they wear ?

If you wear boardies over wetties, your karma created them

Maybe while their aiming at a female market (their not shy on credit card sprees)

Maybe their not the final colours & were testing the waters

The only constnat in life is Change

Maybe Santa put the hard word on them for new Chrissy tree decorations

Dont mess with the Big guy in Red regardless

so many opinions- are people on other brands just jealous that Cab has a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge slice of the market ? The designs look good, if you are really ragging on them because you don't like them I guess you are one of those people who complain about music being too loud and listen to talkback radio

So........how does the "LOOK" of the kite make it go better ???

Red ones go faster maybe ???

What's next, bling for kites, the Paris Hilton accessory range, that should make them a better performer ???

Perhaps to be trendy we should follow the example of both women's & men's magazine marketing and have scantilly clad women printed on the canopy that would make.........................wait a minute.................

Apologies for the break, I just had to send a suggestion to the Cabrinha marketing department regarding their 2012 designs.

Nomad and Switch are pretty fugly awright! The others seem ok. I actually like the convert.

TBH - I would buy em if they flew nicely (and could afford em tho).

Looks isn't that high on my must have list. My kites are pretty bloody ordinary. One is fugly (09 Thruster - I made a bad choice with colour scheme) but I don't lose sleep about it.

I reckon Cab went down this path to try and please the very same fashionistas, that are wanting change, but ended up puking at the results.

Classic.

Convert actually reminds me of slingshot.

To be honest, I'd prefer it if brands had the same graphics and designs year after year. That way I could keep buying new gear without my wife knowing and the kites would look actually the same. I'd just tell her I take care of my gear and then skim off the top of our monthly costs by not telling her every time I get an increase. :p

Wife: Is that a new kite?
me: Nope
Wife: Why does it look so new?
me: I had it dry cleaned, its amazing how much difference it makes
Wife: They can do that? Wow! Why does the bar thing look new?
me: They replaced the whole thing after a line snapped. I purchased a 5 year extended warranty when I bought it

maybe I have bad taste, and a bad sense of fashion(my wife certainly thinks so!) but I reckon the nomad and switchy look pretty good. The other models are pretty boring though. But at the end of the day I don't really give a fark, as long as the kite flys hows it's supposed to and does what I need it to do.

i think that is the line you should run with

I've been seeing them and riding them in the real world over in Maui, the Switchies are really nice, rear lines connect direct to the kite this year - no pulleys yay!
Graphics look a lot better in reality than the pics. The blue one is my fav, followed by the red grey.
The custom board is even better than last years and goes really well in the messy cross off conditions.
Its been 25-35 knots every day so have only tested the 7,8,9M Switchies.
Back in Sydney on Friday.

Yeah, but I've also never heard you say a bad word about any cabrinha product for the last 4 years.

Oh, so your comments are here to counter the negative publicity rather than tell the truth? That puts your cabrinha reviews into perspective for future reference...don't take it at face value, its just there to counter the negative publicity.

I'm with Steve on this one - he has actually seen the kites and flown them.

The pictures don't do any justice I've been told.

New method of coloring the raw material instead of printing direct on finished material ... apparently this gives a see-thru effect.
