I'm heading up to FNQ with my family in July and plan on taking one kite and a 136cm Cab twin tip. Just wondering whether a 12m would be OK and where are the best spots to kite? Also, are there any kite schools or shops up there?
Thanks!

the very southern end of 4 mile beach (the main beach in port) is where you kite from (or it used to be- i haven't been there since 2005). from memory you go all the way down reef street or barrier street. a 12m should be ok, but take a bigger kite if you have one.

Thanks guys, my next bigger kite is a 17m Fat Lady, but that may be a little too big, so will just bring the 12, which I can easily use up to 25 kts.

Spent a winter up there a little while ago. 12m was size we used most of time. Worth checking out Yorkeys knob if you have a car as well
