Police have found taken possession of a Nobel T 5, red, orange yellow and green, 10 sq mt. kite, found floating 150 mts offshore at Largs bay at 3:00 PM.
A search is currently underway to try and locate any kite-surfer in the water in case they are in trouble. Anyone with knowledge of the incident or the whereabouts of the owner is asked to urgently contact the water police on 8242 3466.

Hope all is well... but.
Sadly last time some idiot let go of their kite, then drove back to Work not giving a ****.
Water Police, Airwing, Paramedics and Local Police spent many hours searching in poor conditions thanks to some idiot.

write your name and number on your kite, or use a tag, bring a PFD if your going further than you can swim. Let someone know where your going and what time you will be back. Buy a PLB/ Epirb. Have a plan B. And look after each other please.

10m kite far too small for the conditions today. It was about 15-17kts at Semaphore/Largs, with the very occasional 20kt puff at the end of the session. Wind gradient was fairly steep as well (at sea level - on/off wind). It was like this all session.
