Hi mates,

I've just arrived to Sydney for the Sydney-Hobart race and plan to stay here till the end of January.

The first thing I noticed - amazing conditions for windsurfing and kiteboarding. As far as I've been doing both for several years, I started to look for rental services and found... almost nothing! =((((

Ok, no problems - I've bought this perfect kite today www.seabreeze.com.au/Classifieds/Kitesurfing/Kites/~baekh/2009-Cabrinha-Switchblade-Ids-12-metre.aspx

But it seems that kiteboards here sooo expensive! Actually I need a 134-145 sm board just for 1 month. If somebody can advice rental service or can rent me one(full payment deposit will be supplied), that would be great!

Expensive?? You can buy new from KP for $649, we can also work out a long term rental, drop in to Kitepower.

I was going to say go to a bigger store, like Kitepower, arrange to buy a board (maybe a second hand one or a demo), for an agreed buyback price range. Maybe take some photos of it to establish condition so you don't wreck it.

649 is expensive.. when you get to aus for the first time its a shock just how expensive everything is.... we're just used to it so we(foolishly) think its o.k...

Okay boys and girls,

I've got cool North 136 board today and ready to have fun!

What are the best kite spots here and are there any good spots at North? I'm living in Neutral bay for now.
