Sounds like our plans to head to New Cal at the end of August have been thwarted by the Pacific Games... So we need a plan B.

Can anyone recommend a budget-priced but good value place to kite that will be likely to have wind at the end of August/start of September? A lot of options I have looked into a re pretty pricey. We are flying from New Zealand.

Thanks

10 days worked out to about $110 per day door to door

Bit of light reading for your plan B

New cal was going to be budget staying in a camp ground and self catering. Other than that, yeah not so cheap.

Cocos is pretty good value considering you get wind all day every day. They are even offering a few budget priced options this year and booze is cheap because it is tax free.

North Queensland has some good kite tours and im sure they could do with a boost in tourist dollars after what they have been through
