Hi Peeps,

It's nearly the end of the season and all good things must come to an end. Several of the Pinna Crew whom have careers involving catering and food, have volunteered to provide food and the likes to make an "end of summer party" come to life.

Some of the Pinna ladies are gettin' the bakin' going on to provide desserts. We will provide a Bar-B-Que. All you need to provide is drinks.

The party is very informal and will kick off around 4pm ish. The food will be available so you can go for a ride, come in and eat a bit and go ride again (weather permitting).

Date will be this Saturday at Pinnaroo Point at 4pm, back up location will be announced in case of bad weather.

So, if you are a local or regular rider at Pinna's, come along and enjoy celebrating the "end of summer", "coming of the winter winds and decent swells"

Feel free to contact me if you need any further details or drop into the truck as you wander past. Event will be on even if there is no wind!

Good winds and hope to see all the familiar faces on Saturday,

cool, whos providing the music
need music for a party, the louder the better so everyone has to yell and then has to drink more coz they can't hear what anyone else is saying

Great idea Darren.
Why not make it an even more positive event by getting the crew up there to form a Pinnaroo Beach User Group. Mullaloo already has one - and just as well. The fact that they have been up and running and proactive on their beach, before they needed to, is probably what will save the day at the impending council deliberations.
WAKSA & MUGS together can, & will, spend lots of time and money forming a sub c'tee, canvassing locals, collecting facts and figures, preparing a submission (or series of), gathering info requested by council etc. etc. etc. but after all that the most positive weight will come from 'MUGS' having been proactive well before there was any need to be reactive.
It is irrefutable proof to all parties involved that the Mullaloo crew are responsible kiters who are only too keen to keep the beach safe for everyone.

But the benefits dont end there. A formally established local kite club can :-
- be funded from WAKSA fees - a % rebate of membership fees to local level admin, social event costs etc. is available.
- you can design your own, local specific guidelines and have them published on the www.waksa.com site guide.
- those same guidelines can go on brochures to handout to newbys & teuros.
- we can give you an email &/or forum service linked to the site for your own private communications.
and the social benefits dont need outlining - they are obvious.

For the sake of your sport, for the sake of your beach and just for your own sake its a great way to go.

This coming seasons membership enrolment will be promoting local beach user group participation. But it would be best to be up & running before that time comes around. Any group, anywhere is elligible & encouraged to form a local club. The more we have the better our case is when we have to step up & defend ourselves. Just because your beach may never need defending is no reason NOT have a local kite club. And it doesnt have to be individual beaches either. It could be a local area like 'Bunbury Kiters' or 'Albany Kiters' who have a range of beaches they frequent but can still have all the benefits of a local group.

Want more info - just email us at the usual address.

Hey Peeps,

Just a reminder about tomorrows BBQ/Party on the beach. Everything is organised, food, tables, ice and tubs, lighting and tunes

Weather looks like it will be a cracker of a day. Not much kiting but good for the party.

ALL YOU NEED TO BRING IS YOUR OWN DRINKS!

A Huge thanks to Todd, Herve, Eric and Hans for their invaluable contributions and not to forget the ladies for their baking. I even hear Elisha was relishing the chance to show off her baking skills. Give them a pat on the back when you see them.

See you all there

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to everyone who turned up at the inaugural Pinnaroo Crew, end of season party! What a great evening.

Around 40 people showed up during the afternoon/evening for a top feed from the bar-b-que and to share a few drinks and stories. It was a real family affair with parents bringing kids whom all behaved extremely well and ran each other silly around the park.

Thanks to all the kite chicks who fronted up bearing cakes and desserts You've discovered my weakness ladies

We were treated to a beautiful day and a nice seabreeze, which turned into a beautiful sunset and then a beautiful evening with friends. Some fine food and bevvies and some chilled tunes.

Thanks again to Todd who really came through with the goods and made the night the success that it was. Thanks to Herve who donated time and effort putting it together and providing inspiration. You guys are tops!

Thanks mostly to the Pinna Crew, you are without doubt, the finest kiting crew in WA. See you next time it's windy.

Just a few snaps of the evening.

Hey Peeps,

My Pat Love Silver/Grey Quest harness went missing last Saturday night at the party. If anyone has it, can they call me please as I don't have a harness to use now. I'm out of stock of my size 0433 982 696

It has my AKSA tag on it and also a custom handle pass safety leash with heavy duty stainless caribiner.

I need it back please.

Many thanks,
