Quick clip from the first session on the pipe in Egypt. Pipes are fun, if you want help/ info about making one just ask.
Can you send me some plans on your pipe??
I built one last month outta PVC (cut holes in the underside, and slotted the legs in).... but it was pretty flimsy, even when legs were hammered a foot into mud.
Was strangely happy when local authorities removed it from it's hiding spot.
Pretty keen to build a proper, sturdy, portable one.
Tryna see on your videos how you connected the legs but can't see sh**!!
Nope not in Egypt.
The key to making a good pipe rail is to have a sturdy/ heavy top pipe, otherwise you may need to secure it down onto the legs somehow as it might bounce around too much.
i recon the easiest way to set up a pipe is to have 3 or 4 posts, cut into the pipe so the posts go into it. then slam those posts in the sand at low tide, and sit the pipe on top. you have to get the direction spot on tho

Yeah that's a good one, but as you point out, pretty hard to change direction.
The pipe I'm hitting is Egypt is super thick and heavy. It has only 2 holes cut in the bottom for legs. The legs are made from 3 pieces of wood stuck together to form a 3 sided pyramid with some bracing running around it. It's a super easy way to make legs. You can change the angle whenever you like.
