Hi Perth crew,

I come to Perth CBD regularly for meetings and I have always wanted to bring my gear for an after work kite but I am not sure if it's worth it (timewise). Last time I went to Cottesloe/Sprod's spot with a cab to have dinner, it cost a fortune and took forever and watching you guys having fun from the beach was heartbreaking. :-)

I usually work till 5pm, I don't have a car and traffic seems always terrible during rush hour. In addition you guys in WA don't have the clock rewind thingy and it gets dark early.

Is there any spot in range of the CBD you could reach by train or bus and still get a 2hr session in (other than Pelican Point)?

Maybe even a place where you can rent boards so I don't risk Qantas screwing up my equipment?

Cheers!

You could take the train from the city to N. Freo Station and walk to Leighton (100m or so).

Are you gonna lug your gear into the meetings with you? Or go back to your hotel THEN hop on a train..... at peak hour.... with your gear?

My advice: Hire a car. Put it on the work credit card.

Or get a taxi to Melville, it's only 20 minutes from the CBd. Not sure you'll get 2 hours though. You might get hour and a half. You could contact one of the schools that operate there and see if they will hire you kit. Kitesurf Warehouse for example.

seems a lot of effort for an average kite, would you not be better off going down to that learner spot on the river>?

For $100 Il give you a lift from the city to cott/leighton, set you up with kite, board, and drop you back at train after. Just give me heads up so I can organise a few cheeky work strategies for that day and we are good to go. Take your own harness. Thats merely $50 each way luggage charge and no airport damage if you work it out comparable cost method. Plus you only pay if its blowing!!!
Fkkkkkkkn bargain!!
