I was on Palm Beach in January and took some pics of the kitesurfers there while testing out a new lens - thought they might be interested in seeing them... they made for some spectacular images!

Yes, it was... and the AF is incredible. I think every shot on Palm Beach was pin sharp - the AF is as good as instant. I normally shoot football though (often in very poor lighting) and the AF is virtually impeccable. An amazing lens - $3500-worth but astonishing value compared to $7000 for the 300mm 2.8 Nikon, yet the 2.5x zoom gives you so much more flexibility and it's every bit as sharp.
