I'm kind of wondering if there is such a beast ? A PFD that meets the 50's standard and actually fits comfortably with most of the waist harness's we wear ?? All the ones I have seen so far are too long and interfere with the harness.
What are the inflatable types ? And no don't bother answering if the kit doesn't work with a harness and wont snag a kite line :-( !!!

So I'm still waiting to hear of the 'many options' for kitesurfers that ride boards in the waves to meet the NSW regs!! Trouble is its only a matter of time before the boffins in Vic look over the fence and go 'what a great idea!' lets do the same ****!!

Seriously - is there actually a PFD compliant model that fits above a normal kitesurfing waist harness with out riding up and choking the rider ?? I simply don't know of one !! I use a Mystic harness and any time Ive looked for a 'floaty' it interferes with my harness !!!

Try the Forward WIP. It is a 50n PFD and has the buoyancy quite high. Zip and buckles are on the side and it has neoprene strips on the inside to stop it riding up. Been using one for a year and no problems at all with it.

I second the Forward WIP. Had mine for nearly a year and it's nice and slim so it's not as noticeable and has useful pockets for knifes and things as well as good impact protection.
