Thought they had been doing this for years? Maybe its marketing ploy to invigorate the US?

Comparing this system to the Switch manufacturer direct system is bogus. Having retailer product ordering streamlined is a plus but wont offer the huge price point advantages gained by the Switch model

So, fewer fingers in the same pie...

How is JIT working out then? Are they holding stock in a warebouse or making the gear on demand?

Ozone Kites aren't actually made in China, just incase anyone was wondering.

My Last two Edges have been made to order, 2-3 weeks turn-around I think it was. Although JIT is making it hard to find a cheap Edge from the previous season, I should have pushed the point a few weeks back when a retailer mucked up on their website and had a 5m for $600 which I ordered online, then they called me to say they didnt actually have it in stock but I could have the latest model for more than twice that...

that's the go chrisso, im at middleweight now, must admit I struggle to hold an edge compared when I was light heavyweight, weve not had many of those roaring 40s this winter, I wouldn't mind a go of your 8 one day soon, a 5 edge in 30plus hmmmm you've got me thinking now

I know you weren't, but with your comment worded like it is the un-informed would assume they are .

Seems logical to assume that the kites are made in China... Like many other brands. Thanks for the clarification.

Ozone have their own factory in Vietnam. They make kites and paragliders and wing suits and all sorts of stuff. They're very busy boys and seem to be killing it in whatever market they take on (even though I am not a fan of Ozone stuff).

The Ozone dealers I have spoken to use an Ozone dealer web site to check stocks and put in orders and stuff. It all sounds very sophisticated and professional.
