Hey guys
Im 105kgs
Ride 8/10m bws noise.
Just after advice on what 2 kite quiver you would suggest on the reos?
Cheers
It's a tricky question. I see guys on 6m when most others are on 10m. It depends how you ride and what sort of boards you have.
I'm in the 100kg range and had 8 and 10 REO (when they only did 2m increments) but found they overlapped too much. I still could kite in strong winds but not too enjoyable.
Now have 7m and 10m REO. Much better. I find they compliment each other well, not too much overlap and more fun in string winds as the 7m handles it better.
This topic has been raised in another thread.
Some say NEO's ride small, some say REO's ride true.
To be honest, the most fool proof way to decide is to demo one.
I guarantee all Ozone (and North dealers for that matter) would be happy to let you try a few sizes, to get yourself sorted.
Forget peoples advice, demoing is the only fool proof way.
Depends on the year man. I put my 2012 cat 8m over a 2012 bws 6m. same size.
Reo's/cats have got more powerfull since then. So I don't really know. But you need to compare your size / wind range with what ever year you are looking at.
Now. What wind range do you want and want wind range does your current kites have?
I'm 90kg, surf, no straps; used to ride 6 & 8 bws noise
now ride reo 7 & 9 but should have bought 7 & 10
go for 9 & 12 as surfingboye suggested
9 and 12 at my guess.
At 75kg, my 2 kite quiver would be 8 and 12.
oh but the 10 is oooooh so nice!

Ohhh you need a go of the 12 then.![]()
I'd go a 12m and an 8m as I'm around 90kgs and I have a 7m, 9m and a 12m, this has me covered from about 15ish knots to 30+. Make sure they're all 2015+ though, the years before didn't have quite as big wind range as they do now.
I am strapless and have Reo 15s 7 and 10.
I am finding with the massive depower I could go a 12 instead of 10 but in saying that the 10 is an awesome kite.
I have found that the balance also depends on your boards.
I have 24 litre and 29litre vanguard style boards so the 10 metre kite and 29 litre board get me going upwind in 15 knots.
The guys I know with 12 reos rave about the kite and surprise me how they handle the 25 knot plus sessions

I'm on it. Overseas right now again, but back in July. Will be riding the 12 soon ;)
Yes the 12 m is a sick kite I love my 2016 V3 and still trying sell my 2015 model which is like new It needs to be loved so please by me??
The trouble with trying to cover the high and low end with a two kite quiver is you may miss out on your 'sweet' size. So the choice is do you have a large and small kite or build your quiver around your main kite. (Which for you would be a 10m or 9 if you live in a windy area) I run a 6, 9, 12. 9 being the work horse. i used to do just 6 (or 7) and 9 but added the 12. Some kites have a sweet size, but for the reo; I can tell you they all perform. As stated by surfingboye the 12 is a great kite with excellent range and still turns well depowered. You could easily get by with a two kite quiver, I used to. But if I was you I would do 9(10) & 12 then add a second hand kite only 7(8) m. One will come up in August September when new reos are released. Its not weight alone that dictates your kite size... I have seen light guys that are 'heavy' on the bar or others that like to ride overpowered to punt easily. ive had a 6 out when the wind has dropped out and still been able to ride, and caught out on the 12 when I should have been on the 6. It overlaps between sizes, but proves how well Rob has tuned the bridal on these kites,

Very wise words from the pearl of wisdom....
Though at your weight - you might be better waiting until when the new ones are released?
Who knows, perhaps the V4 might have a lucky 13 for the heavyweights?
and Tezza rumours.... an 11 m ?
Kite size is determined not only by the conditions ie. wind and temperature which makes the wind stronger as it gets colder (air is denser) - but also by your weight, experience, technique and the kind of riding you like to do, board size etc..
