I just noticed that the metal clip on my ozone bar is rusted similar to the mentions in these threads:

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/General/Ozone-megatron-metal-part-?page=1#16
Was this an Ozone recall on this part? Are they supplying replacement parts for this? I am sure I checked it when I first read about it, but now it seems more rusty.
Would Ozone replace these, if they even have the parts?

As far as I know the only option is to upgrade the whole chicken loop assy, no megaton parts are available
I have the chicken loop repair kits in stock for the megatron bars. Pm me or text/call to check if that's the part you need.

The repair kits I've seen don't come with any metal parts, just the urethane tubing and a piece of hivis dyneema to help with assembly.
If that part is lost or broken, then you have no choice other than to purchase a V4 click in upgrade kit, which updates the bar to a V4 click in system which is far easier to use.
When Ozone ran out of that part they decided not to produce more and instead released the superior V4 click in system. The good thing about Ozone is they make their upgraded bars/parts compatible with the earlier versions.

Thanks guys. I am worried that there are no spares for a product that shouldn't be rusting away anyway.
I have a spare QR, so I have changed to that. I can't quite justify $250 to swap out a QR that should otherwise work fine. I never had a problem loading this type, so the new type gains me nothing... and it will probably rust away down the track too.
I have several megaton chicken loops, only one rusted, the small piece on the end of the loop, the rest are fine. I can only guess there may have been a batch problem with these end pieces. Otherwise they are a good chicken loop, easily repaired when the urethane needs replacing.

The Megatron was released around 2013, so those parts that you are referring to could be up to 10 years old, and its made from 304 grade recyled stainless steel, which can corrode with long term exposure to sea water. Ozone wanted to modernise the QR and had one of the first click in chicken loops which they called the V4 Click in system. It is superior in every wat to the older version, especially the reloading which can be done one handed.
The upgrade kit includes a new flagout line and swivel, a separate trim line and a new mainline and Click in chicken loop for $239 which seems very reasonable to me and its backwards compatible to all the previous Ozone bars, which shows how much Ozone cares about waste and customers. No need to buy a new bar if you have a megatron, even the earlier grey version that was a pull towards you release. I'm not aware of any other brand which offers this level of thought about their customers and the environment.
I bought three of these quick releases as upgrades/replacement to existing bars I had. One was an ozone bar with the earlier pull towards you type, another was a peter lynn bar, and the other was an older cabrinha bar.
I checked that metal bit when I saw the mention of it, which must have been 2017 as I remember thinking that other than a slight brown, the one I used most was fine.
The conversion kits I bought, all came with new swivels, a new safety lead, and the QR and the PU line. In my case they are all fine and I even think I will be able to swap out the bars as I go to keep at least one going. I can't remember what I paid, but it would have been the equivalent of what you are saying is now $250, for each.
As far as waste goes though, I think Ozone has dropped the ball here. If they have decided that they won't provide spares for a tiny little part that rusts out, and then ask you to pay another $250 for a complete new setup, that's not a good product.
At the time of the recall it was suggested that some of the parts were rusting and the rest werent. If I knew that they would all rust out, I would have tried to get them replaced back then.
