I'd go a 10. I'm 100Kgs and I fly a 12m mainly (it is pretty wind hungry though, due to the fact that it's a 7 strut kite and a hybrid at the C end of the spectrum. I'm good on that from about 16 knots to 30 (I wouldn't suggest 30 for someone starting out though obviously). I use 2 boards too, this enables you to have a bit more range with one kite. I use a 142 and a 128 (both Undergrounds).
