Hi Gang, I'm a newbie to the sport, and loving it, but always on borrowed gear.
I have read endless reviews of earlier gear and recently purchased a 2006 Slingshot Turbo Diesel 14 (With Powerstroke). I believe the 2006 were TD2's.
14m because I'm 95kg. I had to buy an earlier kite because I'm working on a tight budget. And I'm still learning.
I would like to hear from others that have riden these kites or still riding them. My main concern is the safety, as I know the earlier kites were lacking, but reviews I read fro the 2006 era say that these were of the best safety kites in the day...
Be honest, you won't upset me.

the only thing that's changed is the fact kiter's have to take less caution because of better safety measures, and they dont have to swim towards the kite the relaunch it. haha the good ol days.

Techniques are still pretty much the same.

Hiya scottyMac

Honest review

1. In 2006 you weighed less but kept boozin it & waisted thousands of dollars up against the wall !!

2. Loose some of that 95kg Keg you got goin on its costs less for a smaller kite and while your at it go to AA

3. Just hang out downwind on cyclone days & collect rewards from kooks like me who sometime loose kites n boards - then bye 2010 gear
