I thought this is worth a mention as I've got a smile on my dial all week anyways here goes..
Not affiliated with ozone in any way but I picked a wicked deal up (from buy and sell here) on a 2012 REO 12mtr. For $300 I bought a Kite that I thought would "just do the job", I e been flying reos in the waves for 3 years now and to me a Kite turning like a scalded cat in the wind is the only way I think kites should fly. The REO does that exactly, with no pulleys it's responsive and drifts in the wind with slack lines like a you would not believe![]()
I just don't have a wallet fat enough to buy the latest gear and as such have had to cross my fingers and hope that a 2012 Kite would suffice. It did, and although I like to think I'm the king de la long of kiting my skills are probably more average to advance so I am getting the max out of what it can offer at a low budget price.. Bit like riding a 600cc after being on litre bikes for 10 years you can thrash the sh% t out of it.
Just super happy to fill my quiver and hope that anyone thinking of doing the same on used kites should just go for it
Peace out and good winds
Every used kite has differing wear and tear. Either test fly / inspect or request LOTS of photos or even close up video of seams etc
Glad to hear you got a good one ![]()
2012 Reos rock! I'm loving my quiver of them.
I was in a lucky enough situation to have new kites every year 13/14/15 for awhile. Funny thing is I have never enjoyed my kiting more then I am at the moment.
