Enjoy!
Be sure to have shower with disinfectant soap after. To wash off the sewage, algal bloom and jellyfish spawn (sorry
)
And before I take the toxic bath I'm going to feed on animal fat, chicken embryo, spuds, tomato sauce, tabasco..............breakfast of champions, musli is for EFs.
Yep, this morning was great. Was on the water at 4.55 making rainbows in the sunrise. Not back in until about 9.45. Dodged the rocks too, just... Way to start the day! ![]()
what the hell was with the ****ing idiot dog owners at bourke street yesterday morning .
all that shallow water between bourke street and point walter and they have to insist flicking balls for their pets into the water right where kiters are launching and landing . The amount of dogs that ran after the kites was amazing .
I even got told to mind my own business by some bitter old hag after her annoying little rat shat on the beach and i pointed to her to come pick it up .
Definately a dog beach till the fence starts to the east. bummer cause usually pretty popular with dogs on weekend. have to be careful not to upset anyone cause this spot craps on pt walter cause it gets so busy. in the water by 6 and done by 8.30 usually beets the crowds (both kites and dogs).
it does seem strange to have a nature reserve right next to a dog beach. Dogs are there everyday while kiters only get a handful of good easterlies. Surely the dogs would disturb the nesting wildlife more than what we do.
Melville beach is banned for dogs without leads but are still seen frequently running around. Works both ways i guess.
I'd say dogs undoubtedly contribute more to society than kiters period. so perhaps chillax on the turf war and relax knowing you can still session some of the hugely popular, multi-stakeholder public resources on the doorstep of a capital city.
i was just wound up because i watched multiple dogs go racing out to kiters as they were trying to land or launch and the dog owners just let them run around wild . My mate got caught with a lull in the wind and the kite started to drop and a ****wit couple sitting on the beach drinking beer just let their dog run straight towards him . Could have ended up nasty .
And the other owner who had a **** bag in her hand watch her poodle crap right in front of me and then turned away and ignored it got me a little bit angry .
yeah walk my dog down at leighton and same deal there, dogs taking a crap and a minority group of owners who just turn a blind eye ![]()
yer maybe i should have posted a little more calm but its not the fact there are dogs around . many times kiting at bourke street i have never had an issue . My issue is more with irresponsible dog owners .
things like one owner of 3 dogs, mid sized dogs standing right on the san spit and using those tennis ball chuckers and throwing the ball almost right in the way of kiters , things like that . But the dog having a **** was what set me off .
Dog attacks are a major cause of human injury in Australia. In 1991, it was estimated that there could be up to 30 000 people presenting to hospital annually as the result of dog attacks in Australia.
And kiters are supposed to be the menace...............100% wrong.
Perhaps Dusta was once bitten by a dog, not nice, especially as a youngster.
From 1986-94 there were 11 people who died as a result of dog attack.
Furthermore, the dogs kill the very old and very young, so I better watch out.
I have two mini sausage dogs. They are so awesome practically family. Definately alot of irrisponsible owners out there but they have no idea what we are doing out there. Imagine having the beach to yourself one day and it being packed by kites the next. I think dog owners would win the argument hands down.
